Day 37: Amunì compà, Uma & Marco race to Sicily!: 31.5km from Sessa Aurunca to Capua

The route:

Today's route was uneventful. MapOut suggested mostly field and forest paths, with a few side roads. Only one section in the forest was so overgrown with thorn bushes that I had to crawl through them on all fours. My beautiful white UMA shirt looked accordingly awful. I love these little surprises 😎

Good? Bad? Ugly?

"Indiscutibilmente Italiana" (Indiscutible Italian): The motto of Peroni beer is a perfect fit for Italian bars. Whether in Aosta, Rome, or this morning's village of 200 inhabitants: the atmosphere, the conversations, the predominantly old men(!), the coffee, and the cornetti are the same everywhere. Only the music has changed. Since yesterday, we left the Lazio region and are now in the Campagnia region – so now we're hearing Neapolitan, schmaltzy, heartbreak music in the bars. Very, very cool!
