Day 33: Amunì compà, Uma & Marco race to Sicily!: 23km from Rome to Colleferro
"Passion or perseverance; it must definitely come from deep within."
The route:
Now things get truly adventurous: wild, unpredictable, and, above all, difficult to plan. To plan the route, I tried Google Maps (useless, as it's only roads), Kommot (I want to cross three mountains with 2,700 meters of elevation gain in a 30km route), Garmin (sorry, I can't find any popular routes), so ultimately MapOut remains the best option. However, the route then leads over sections that are only visible as red lines on the phone but not in the terrain, or are simply impassable due to mud and flooding. But still better than recklessly tackling trucks on the narrow roads.
Conclusion: I had to shorten the KM again today so that we could stick to the schedule somewhat, but instead we had an incredibly delicious pranzo with spaghetti vongole and then a tuna steak; Mmm!

Good? Bad? Ugly?
Sabine and Uma were no less active, exploring first Nemi, the city of strawberries(!), and then Artena. Artena claims to be the largest traffic-free historic old town in Europe. It boasts a brutally large number of narrow and, above all, steep alleys—and countless cats.
The general direction for tomorrow is Frosinone - let's see which route it will be...
A total distance of 23km and 215 meters of elevation.
