Day 18: Amunì compà, Uma & Marco race to Sicily!: 30km from Fidenza to Fornovo

The route:

First, the Cornetti breakfast in the beautiful, lively center of Fidenza and then, after the first few kilometers, the area becomes undulating and finally hilly - there are a few more meters of elevation gain.
What a contrast to the Po Valley, which is not wrongly named that. The houses here are less morbid, actually quite stately, and the views are simply magnificent.
You can see that the mood is better and the good weather certainly contributes to that.

Good? Bad? Ugly?

While Sabine has a perfect nose for osterias and trattorias, I'm developing a good sense for cemeteries (!), because you can always find a fountain or faucet there. However, the looks here are rather unfriendly...
Today's destination is Fornovo on the Taro River. Idyllic and prominently featured in the osteria guide.
